Please remember, this is not a complete list! We’ve listed some opportunities here, most of which are for undergraduate research internships. There may be others that aren’t listed, for undergraduate research or for other kinds of internships, so keep looking online if you don’t find the right fit for you here.

• Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) for University of Hawaiʻi undergraduates doing their own research project
• IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (INBRE) Student Research Experience
• IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (INBRE) Internships
• Undergraduate Research and Mentoring (URM) in the Biological Sciences program for citizens of US-affiliated Pacific Islands and the US

• Scholarships administered by the University of Hawaiʻi Foundation (search for your interests, and also try “marine”, “Hawaii Institute of Marine Biology”, “HIMB”, “undergraduate”, etc.)
• Federal work-study program at UHM for student employees (not for interns per se, but could help support part-time work)
