HIMB has recently acquired a new 49 passenger vessel that will be used to support marine science education for Hawaii students and community.  The celebration on the 17^th will launch the start of new programs that will serve as a platform to expose students and other participants to some basic research in Kaneohe Bay, as well as support access to the multitude of programs we deliver on site at HIMB that reach thousands of participants each year.  The event will highlight some of the activities we will plan for the vessel, as well as feature some of the students that have benefited from participating in HIMB’s various marine science education pathways programs in the recent past.
