HIMB Visiting Researcher Information
Welcome potential visiting researchers! Please read carefully through the information and steps before planning your visit.
The Hawaiʻi Institute of Marine Biology is an organized research unit of the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa which supports full-time research and education on Moku o Lo’e as part of its core mission. HIMB is equivalent to a university department and does not maintain dedicated space to serve as a field station for unaffiliated researchers and educators. Under this framework, HIMB supports a limited number of faculty sponsored visitors who complement the research, mission and objectives of the institute and the university.
